According to Herald Economy and court registry documents on the 20th, Han So Hee purchased a 203㎡ duplex penthouse in “Arcadia Signature” complex located in Acheon-dong, Guri City, Gyeonggi Province, for 5.24 billion of KRW (approximately $4.12 million) on August 21.
On September 30, Han So Hee completed the payment and officially transferred ownership of the property, with a mortgage of KRW 1.1 billion (about $860,000) secured by a commercial bank.
Since the maximum loan amount is usually set at 110-120% of the amount borrowed, it is estimated that he took out a loan of around KRW 1 billion (USD 790,000) to purchase the penthouse.
Previously, Han So Hee resided in the nearby “Villa de Grium W,” which she purchased in cash for KRW 1.95 billion (US$1.53 million) in December 2021, attracting attention at the time.
Arcadia Signature, completed in May last year, is a luxury residential complex with just eight units, ranging from KRW 4 billion to KRW 5 billion per unit. It consists of six regular houses and two penthouses, of which Han So Hee’s is the largest duplex unit, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an attic and a roof terrace. The penthouse also offers views of Achasan, Yongmasan and the Han River.
Acheul Village, where the complex is located, is an affluent, up-and-coming area, just a 15-minute drive from Seoul’s Gangnam district, and home to many celebrities, including acting couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, actress Oh Yeon Seo and footballer Kim Min Jae.
The area, once a green zone revoked in 2006, is now home to numerous single-family homes and luxury villas. It has long been known as the “Artists’ Village” due to the presence of famous artists such as the late novelist Park Wan Suh, painter Lee Sung Ja and printmaker Choi Ji Sook, who lived there for many years.
