On March 10, Park Jinyoung appeared on the YouTube channel “TEO 테오” for the show Salon driptogether with actress Kim Minju. The two stars are currently promoting the upcoming JTBC drama Shining.
During the interview, host Jang Do-yeon asked Jinyoung if he is still in touch with his former GOT7 bandmates.
He replied that although they have a group chat, they don’t communicate very often.
“We have a KakaoTalk group chat, but we don’t talk that often. Even if we don’t contact each other, we still feel like family,” he said. “I check in on members from time to time.”
“We argued a lot,” Jinyoung admits
Jang Do-yeon then said that he heard GOT7 fight just as often as senior groups like Shinhwa and Super Junior.
Jinyoung didn’t deny it. “Yes, we argued a lot” he admitted.

She explained that many of their fights happened while they were practicing the choreography. “There were movements where we would hit each other during the choreography. If someone got hit, they would feel annoyed and hit a little harder. Then the other person would get annoyed and hit even harder.” he recalled.
Arguing in the bathroom… then smiling on stage
The actor also confirmed a long-circulating story about the group arguing at a TV station moments before the show.
Jang Do-yeon asked if it was true that the members once grabbed each other’s collars in a bathroom but immediately pretended to be friendly once they went on stage.
Jinyoung laughed and said that it really happened.
“Yes, we also argued in the bathroom” he said. “Then someone would say, ‘We have to go on stage now,’ and suddenly we’d smile and walk out.” He humorously recalled the situation during the interview, making everyone on set laugh.
“Now we are like a family”
Despite frequent conflicts during their idol days, Jinyoung said the members usually reconciled quickly.
“After about an hour we had already made peace. At first we were angry, but then we ate together and laughed.” he shared.
According to him, those experiences ultimately strengthened their bond.
“Because we fought despite everything, now there’s nothing left to fight about. I think this has made us even closer.” he added.
