Episode 8 of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “When The Stars Gossip”, which aired on January 26, showed the scene where Gong Ryong (Lee Min-ho) and Eve Kim (Gong Hyo-jin) get hot each other with their love amidst the freezing cold in space.
Eve Kim put on a spacesuit and set out to save Gong Ryong, who was left alone on the space station following a sudden collision with debris. As their bodies cooled down, Gong Ryong and Eve Kim secretly drank the alcohol brought by Santiago (Alex Hafner) to maintain their body temperature. Huddled together as they endured the cold, the two confessed deep thoughts to ease their fear. Gong Ryong even revealed that his space mission was related to human artificial insemination.
Unable to control himself due to his overwhelming emotions, Gong Ryong bravely confessed, “It’s okay if we freeze to death”then he approached Eve Kim and kissed her passionately.
Once again, their bed scene in this episode became a hot topic.
In response, many viewers complained, “Can’t the story develop without scenes in bed?”, “We talk about sex, sperm and pregnancy from the first episode. I’m already tired of it”, “The problem is not the actors. I can’t understand a story like that with a space background,” etc.
Despite the hot bed scene, the drama’s viewership rating only registered 2.2%. Known as one of the most anticipated dramas of 2025 with a whopping production cost of 50 billion won, “When The Stars Gossip” is losing its appeal among viewers due to the excessive use of bed scenes.
