A surprise reunion between the actress Go Hyun-jung and Annie, a member of the mixed group Project All daybecame one of the most talked about moments of the 20th W Korea Breast Cancer Awareness charity event, held on October 15 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul.
The two women, who were once linked by marriage, appeared in the same location for the first time in years, sparking widespread curiosity and online conversation.
Go Hyun-jung she married Chung Yong-jin, president of Shinsegae, in 1995 and had a son and a daughter before divorcing in 2003, citing personality differences.
Annie, on the other hand, is the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group president Lee Myung-hee and the daughter of Shinsegae department store president Chung Yoo-kyung making her Chung Yong-jin’s granddaughter.
While no photographs of the two interacting were released, their presence at the same event was enough to spark discussions on social media.
Interestingly, this wasn’t their first indirect interaction. Last month, Go Hyun-jung attracted attention for “Pleasure” a post from an Annie photoshoot on W Korea’s official Instagram, surprising many with what fans described as a “Silent support Hollywood style show.”
Go Hyun-jung recently concluded his intense performance in SBS drama Queen Mantiswhere she played a complex mother who is also a serial killer, a role that earned her critical acclaim for its emotional depth and chilling undertones.
Meanwhile, Annie debuted in early June this year as a member of Project All daybecame famous with their double-titled tracks FAMOUS AND EVIL. The group has quickly gained traction both domestically and internationally and is currently preparing for a comeback in November.
Their unexpected appearance under the same roof despite family ties that dissolved two decades ago offered a rare glimpse into how personal history and professional paths can safely intersect in the ever-changing world of Korean entertainment.
