Go Ara arouses curiosity with the heart-shaped ring on her left ring finger during the trip to Japan

On April 9, actress Go Ara shared several candid snapshots on her social media account, accompanied by a hand emoji doing the V sign pose. In the photos, Go Ara appears to be enjoying a casual trip to Japan, playfully balancing a Japanese train ticket on her forehead while making cheerful expressions for the camera.

Her natural, makeup-free look received praise from fans, but it was one detail in particular that quickly became the center of attention: a heart-shaped metal ring worn on the fourth finger of her left hand.

As Go Ara prominently posed with her hands in several images placing her fingers near her eyes and lips in playful gestures, fans couldn’t help but notice the ring and speculate whether it had any special meaning.

Comments poured in soon after the post, with fans writing:

  • That ring is so cute.
  • It fits you perfectly.
  • I wonder if it has a special meaning.

The photos reignited public curiosity about Go Ara’s personal life, especially given her relatively private approach to romance.

The actress was previously romantically linked to TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho in 2012, although both parties strongly denied the dating rumors at the time. Their agency, SM Entertainment, clarified that the two were longtime colleagues who had become close after starring together in the 2009 MBC drama Heading to the Ground.

Yunho later addressed the Beatles Code 2 rumor himself, saying, “Go Ara is like a little sister to me. I’ve known her since she was in sixth grade, when we were both in Gwangju.”

In 2025, Go Ara also revealed her views on marriage in an interview, saying, “I need the other person to like me, of course, but their attitude also matters and we need to match well. I tend to rely on a certain feeling, which makes it hard to define.”

He added, laughing: “Talking about marriage comes first after dating.”

Born in 1990, Go Ara rose to fame after winning both the “Best Appearance” award and first prize at SM Entertainment’s 5th Teen Best Contest in 2003. She made her acting debut the same year in the KBS2 drama Sharp, starting a career that has made her one of Korea’s most recognizable actresses.

For now neither Go Ara nor its agency have commented on the meaning behind the now much discussed heart ring.
