Many Chinese idols who debut as K-Pop artists eventually return to their home country, opening their own studios in China. While many like WJSN‘S Xuanyi AND Meiqi, ESO‘S Positionand others have chosen this path, (G)I-DLE‘S Yuqi has chosen to renew the contract with Entertainment cube in South Korea, despite multiple offers.
Yuqi shared why she chose to do this on a recent talk show.
It is so popular that offers from China are sure to arrive during contract renewal season.
They would have come and, since the Chinese market is large, they could have also moved.

The host asked her why she wasn’t tempted, given how big the market is in China.
If I just wanted to make money, I actually would have gone there already. But I want to continue doing the things I like, and that’s one of the reasons I renewed.
