There has been a lot of speculation about the idol’s next move, with the latest update coming in October when reports claimed Soyeon would be leaving CUBE.

After months of speculation, Soyeon directly addressed the rumors during an appearance on her YouTube channel FreestyleDingo.
During the video, one of the hosts pointed out that contract renewal can be a sensitive topic, but Soyeon explained that they are all freelancers with a beginning and an end, as contact inevitably ends.
It’s no surprise that Soyeon was asked directly about her contract renewal. When asked if she would be leaving, Soyeon explained that she wasn’t sure but was discussing it with CUBE.
Soyeon showed her love for the members by explaining: “For me and for the members, the important thing is to find the best environment to continue making music”, adding that that was why everything took longer.
They’re trying to figure out how to continue making music as best they can.
Soyeon explained how she feels like a “mother” to the members but also that they are her closest friends.
Soyeon is focusing on the best way for the group to move forward “together.”
The host also wanted to know when the decision would be made, and Soyeon explained that she wanted it done ASAP to end her “free agent status,” putting a deadline on the end of November.
