On January 20, member Minnie was interviewed at Entertainment cube to talk about his mini solo album, HIS.
When asked about contract renewal, he shared his honest thoughts.
“I talked a lot with the members. We always have the same mentality: stay together for a long time and make the music we like.
We discussed how to stick together and come closer to last longer as a group. During the contract renewal process we had many honest conversations, which helped us get even closer.”

She also revealed how her time in the group allowed her to grow.
The seven years spent as a (G)I-DLE are very precious to me. I have been able to grow by promoting with members and have found a lot of myself through these experiences. I created this album based on my experiences and thoughts over the course of seven years.

He admitted that he didn’t want to disappoint fans with his album.
I have become greedy and have a strong desire to do everything I want to do. This is my first solo album and the first album to be released after renewing my contract, so I’ll show you my best so fans won’t be disappointed.

Minnie also confessed that she looked online for a lot of fan reactions regarding the contract renewal.
“I looked for fans’ reactions to the contract renewal and saw that many fans were crying, and most were happy and relieved that we decided to stay together.
Even though we come from different backgrounds, we have come together for the same dream. We’re a group that’s always trying new things, but there are still a lot of things we haven’t tried. I like to think that we will accomplish these things one by one.”
