December 25th 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon took place, boasting many popular idols in its lineup.
Among the latest artists announced was G-Dragonwhich has been topping the charts since his comeback with “Power.”
The idol, as expected, was the last artist of the evening and performed his latest hit. Many were surprised by the inclusion of “Crooked,” a track that is more than a decade old. Some have even linked its inclusion to the track used in recent protests against President Yoon.
Many fans praised the idol for the performance, especially loving the unexpected song.

However, K-netizens expressed different opinions on the performance.
In a now-viral forum post, the performances were shared and quickly garnered negative comments. One of the points mentioned several times was the idol’s voice, as many thought his voice was not up to the stage, even criticizing the way he performed.
- Today’s performance was really bad. If it had been any other artist, he would have been roasted.
- I guess his throat is not in good condition.
- He only does improvisations and background vocals, he doesn’t really sing.
- The lip sync parts have completely different mouth movements, and the live parts are out of tune… her skills are really diminished.
