On May 14, the Bigbang frontman, G-Dragon, made a surprise appearance in the YouTube show of the comedian Park Myung-Soo Hymyungs. What started as a nostalgic look at their past collaborations turned into an unexpected meeting when G-Dragon appeared in half of the performance of their successful duet “having a relationship”, capturing the park out of guard at a moving moment.
Once seated, the two deepened the recent Kickoff concert of the G-Dragon world tour, Superhuman in Koreaheld from 29 to 30 March. The event marked his first solo concert in eight years, but quickly aroused criticism for delays and performance problems.
G-Dragon directly faced the controversy, explaining that extreme time was a key factor:
“Since it was too cold, I was literally trembling that day. He rained, greeted and snowed all at once. Everyone shone together“ he said.
“Natural catastrophes are out of our hands but all the technological things we have used [Even the robots danced] I crossed many things. When it’s cold, the machines also freeze. This has caused many delays … “
The artist did not avoid taking responsibility:
“Even time, but I still had to prepare myself better than that. So yes, I wish it had gone better“He admitted.
The comments shed light on the difficulties behind the scenes that afflicted the concert, from the malfunctional equipment to the effort of the performance caused by the freezing conditions. Although the show had to face public control, the opening and humility of G-Dragon have resounded with fans.
