Details have been included in the legal document.
It was recently announced that ex-VCHA’S KG he would leave the group and sue JYP entertainment for numerous serious complaints.
The health of the members is mentioned more than once in the entire legal document and it turns out that the members were encouraged not to eat and were fed very little. This, combined with the alleged verbal abuse suffered by the group, had negative effects on members’ mental health.
The lawsuit claims one member’s mental health was so severely affected that he developed a “profound eating disorder” culminating in a suicide attempt. The attempt took place in February 2024, with the member swallowing 42 NyQuil pills and subsequently vomiting uncontrollably the following morning.
KG and the other members are said to have expressed concerns to JYP staff months earlier, but received no concerns: instead, they were told that eating disorders were common.
The VCHA was asked to lie about the member’s disappearance and the event was dismissed as “food poisoning”. The individual in charge of making sure JYP complied with child labor laws didn’t know the real reason for the disappearance and even addressed fans’ concerns at one point.
JYP manager cleverly overshadows other companies while promising to protect controversial VCHA member Kaylee
Based on the timeline presented by KG, some fans have speculated that the member in question is Kaylee. It was announced that Kaylee would be on hiatus in March 2024 and has not yet returned to the group, which is currently inactive.
Many shared their concerns for Kaylee and the rest of the group and called for JYP Entertainment to respond to the allegations made.
