Former PRISTIN Member Xiyeon Shares Updates on ‘King of Masked Singer’ After Controversy Over New Sex Drama

Former PRISTIN member and actress Park Xi-yeon recently made headlines with her emotional appearance on the December 15th episode of The king of the masked singer. Competing under the alias “Dream Over Interpretation,” Xiyeon shared insights into her past and reflected on her journey in the entertainment industry.

During the show, Xiyeon revealed that she began her career as a child actress at the age of four. “People always told me I was pretty, so I entered a beauty pageant for kids organized by Naver,” she shared. Her path eventually led to her debut with PRISTIN, where she performed alongside her group members on stage before moving on to a solo career.

Despite her talent, Xiyeon admitted she felt nervous about performing alone. “It felt so different from performing with my group. I was shaking the whole time,” she confessed. She also expressed admiration for her contestant, “Perfume Over Flowers,” saying, “They performed so well. I couldn’t help but take a look as the judges tried to guess their identity.”

Xiyeon concluded her segment by sharing exciting news about her acting career: “I started working on new projects this year and hope everyone looks forward to the ones that will be released soon.”

However, not all recent news about Xiyeon has been positive. His involvement in the controversial interactive drama The Bedmate Game: Sharehouse sparked a heated debate online. Released on the Storyless platform, the drama combines traditional storytelling with interactive episodes, allowing viewers to influence the plot.

Based on a romantic webtoon and dating game, the series is set in a shared house where participants must engage in daily physical contact to compete for a grand prize of 100 million won (approximately $72,000 USD). While the innovative format has attracted attention, one particular scene in which Xiyeon’s character discusses “intimate” preferences with male co-stars has drawn criticism for its explicit nature.
