Former president of South Korea Moon Jae Inthe daughter of Luna Da Hyewas booked for drunk driving (drunk driving) in Seoul on Saturday 5 October.
Moon Da Hye was reportedly driving a Casper vehicle while intoxicated near the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon. While changing lanes she collided with a taxi following her. According to police officers, the accident caused minor injuries to the taxi driver.
At the time of the crash, Moon’s blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.14 percent, much higher than the 0.8 percent threshold for license revocation. According to reports, the Yongsan Police Station charged her with violating the traffic law (drunk driving). Moon is expected to report to the police station for questioning on October 7.
The incident dealt a serious blow to former President Moon Jae In’s public image, as he was already under investigation by prosecutors for potential involvement in a corruption case. He is accused of being involved in the alleged preferential hiring of his former son-in-law at T’way Air. On August 30, Moon Da Hye’s home was searched by authorities over complaints filed four years ago. However, Moon and her husband have since divorced.
