Former NCT‘S Taeil posted her first social media update since her sex scandal was revealed.
On August 28, SM Entertainment announced that Taeil would be removed from NCT due to an unspecified sex crime.

We recently confirmed that Taeil has been implicated in a criminal case related to sexual crimes.
After reviewing the situation, we recognized that the issue is very serious and decided that Taeil will no longer be able to continue the team’s activities. We discussed the matter with Taeil and decided that he will be removed from the group.
Currently, Taeil is cooperating fully with the police investigation. We will share further statements as the investigation progresses.
We deeply apologize for the controversy caused by the artist.

Since then, more details about the case have been revealed as fans and members reacted to the news. According to SM, the company was unaware of the investigation until mid-August.
SM Entertainment first learned of former NCT member Taeil’s sex crime scandal in mid-August
Following the announcement, Taeil’s social media accounts remained inactive, despite NCT members unfollowing him. On September 4, Taeil’s first update came in the form of setting his Instagram account to private.
Taeil’s number of followed accounts has also changed, going from just over 50 to 42. The former NCT member has also lost over 1.1 million followers since the scandal was made public.
