It’s no secret in the K-pop community that RM is a lyrical genius. And once again, the BTS leader showed off his skill and charisma after appearing on American singer-songwriter Megan Thee Stallion’s “Neva Play.”

Soon after its release on September 6, the highly anticipated music video went viral online, with fans of both artists from around the world flooding various social media platforms (from X to TikTok to Facebook, and more) with praise for the collaborative track.
RM’s rich, deep voice perfectly complemented Megan’s sultry image, and together, their rap parts were a perfect blend of fiery confidence and lyrics. Fans also praised “Neva Play’s” futuristic, anime-like visual aesthetic.
And undeniably, the K-pop star was kill people with a line after his pun: “For Asia, man, we have paved the way,” which could be an allusion to his group’s path to worldwide fame.

In X, ARMYs were ecstatic and expressed their amazement at the BTS frontman, calling him the “Father of K-pop” and “Neva Play” the “Collaboration of the Year.”

Meanwhile, it wasn’t just fans who had nothing but positive things to say about RM, but also Megan herself!
On September 2, ahead of the release of “Neva Play,” Megan teased fans about the new collaboration with the caption, “This is one of my favorite RM lines I’ve ever heard! I’ve never heard him rap in this style before.”

BTS RM is currently serving in the military. His retirement is scheduled for June 2025.
