Before his sudden death, the Chinese actor Yu Menglong (also known as Alan Yu) remained dedicated to his profession, appearing in events, a brand livestream and wrapping a drama a few months ago.
On the evening of 11 September, Yu’s studio confirmed the excruciating news: “We are deeply saddened in informing everyone that our beloved Menglong died on September 11. After the investigations, the police excluded the game.
A few weeks earlier, Yu had actively updated fans with photos and posts. His last loading of social media was on August 29, following previous updates on August 18 and during his flight on August 13 from Shanghai to Beijing.
According to relationships, Yu was with friends on the night of September 10th. Around 2 in the morning on 11 September, he returned to his room and locked the door. At 6 in the morning, when his friends were unable to find him, they started looking for. Shortly thereafter, his body was discovered at the foot of an condominium of Beijing, with the authorities who confirm that he had fallen from a high floor.
Despite the tragic circumstances, colleagues and friends they remembered Yu for warmth, kindness and professionalism. The actress Song Yanfei and the actor Zhang Yunlong, among others, have expressed shock and pain. The colleague of actor Liu Ruilin, who had known him for a decade, wrote: “Even if we didn’t meet often, every time I saw you, I felt a slight spring breeze. Menglong, rest in peace”.
In the meantime, actor Gao Taiyu added: “Your smile will remain forever in my memory”.
Yu, born in 1988, began to play in 2011 and became famous with his role as Prince Han breakout in the 2015 web drama of 2015 Go Princess Go. Later he starred in successes such as Eternal Love and The Legend of White Snake. More recently, he filmed a project that enveloped three months ago.
Also in July, Yu appeared cheerful and energetic during the recording of a program in Anhui. Tragically, he died only a few years after celebrating his 37th birthday on June 15th. His sudden departure leaves the dissatisfied plans and a void in Chinese entertainment.
