It took four months before they announced the new name.
Fifth Generation Girl Group YOU has finally confirmed the name of his fandom.
On September 1st, ILLIT announced that the official name of its fandom would be GLITTER.
GLLIT comes from the English word “glitter” which means to shine. It means that their fans are the brightest in the eyes of ILLIT and it is the fans who make ILLIT shine.
They also shared the fandom name in several languages, including Korean and Japanese.
Previously, the group had difficulty choosing a name due to negative reactions from other fandoms.

Initially, they announced that the fandom’s name would be LILLYS and received criticism because they felt it was similar to Lily NMIXXthe name and BLACKPINK Lisathe name of the fandom, LILIES.
Luckily, most fans were thrilled with the new name and thought it fit the group well.
