While there have been many complaints regarding the NCT 127 promotions, fan dissatisfaction reached its peak following the announcement of the Japanese locations last week.
Although the group previously sold out dome tours, the upcoming Japanese tour only consisted of the Osaka dome and two other venues seating fewer than 10,000. Fans were also shocked because one member of the group had already held a solo concert at a larger venue not long ago.
Protest trucks were dispatched with several messages sent to the company.
Below are the messages chosen by the fans to place on the protest truck.
- “Cancel the venues of the Aichi Sky Expo and the West Japan General Exhibition Center.”
- “Incompetent management, or malicious management. Fans don’t need this kind of insincere venue rental.
- “Clearing the exhibition center which affects the scale of the tour and affects their career.”
- “55,000 sold out Tokyo Dome. In exchange we get a 6,500-seat exhibition center. Cancel rushed tour locations.
- “The return of Chuseok in 2021-2022. Return to the 2023 Asian Games. Return to the 2024 Olympics. 2025 Chuseok? Return to the 2026 World Cup? If the same mistake is made again, it is intentional.”
- “Intentionally cancels ending NCT 127’s career and rents out small tour venues.”
- “No Japanese album, reducing the size. What will you do for the next location rental? What’s the point of being at the Nikkei if the agency is useless every year?”
- “Three Year Guerrilla Campaign – The Link. ‘AND MORE’ for THE UNITY but ended up being ‘THE END’. Harmful rental of smaller premises – THE MOMENTUM. Stop intentionally denigrating artists.”
- “The Fandom has had enough of the lack of communication with NEO CENTER. NCT 127’s European tour is nowhere to be seen.”
- “Hopefully, the original content of NCT 127 will be different next year.”
They also sent several protest wreaths expressing their frustration.
The first day of the protest is scheduled from 9am to 5pm KST.
On the other hand, protest wreaths were also recently seen outside SM Entertainment protesting an ex RIIZE Seunghanthe return.
