On December 11 (local time), Sora Ma shared on her personal account: “Six months ago my husband left us forever. He had no illnesses and no warnings; his sudden passing left me completely devastated.”
Her husband died when she was 7 months pregnant. The couple eagerly awaited the arrival of their baby, but the tragic news forced Sora Ma to hold her husband’s funeral while he was still in her womb. She later gave birth by cesarean section, prepared her baby’s first birthday party in a postpartum care center, and took on all the responsibilities alone during this difficult period.
He shared: “During this time I prepared a new home, gave birth, and went through postpartum recovery. I learned to do many things I had never done before, from becoming a mother for the first time to taking on the responsibility of raising a child alone.”
Sora Ma said her life gradually stabilized and her baby became her source of new hope and strength. She expressed”Heaven took my husband, but they gave us our baby, Sky. Sky is the continuation of our love and the reason I can continue to stay strong”, showing deep affection for his son.
In an interview with a Singaporean media outlet, Sora Ma revealed: “I am raising my son alone, but I have the help of a housekeeper. With the end of my maternity leave, I plan to return to work and dedicate myself to providing for my son.” She also announced plans to share monthly updates on her parenting journey and asked for continued support from her fans.
