According to foreign media, Wang Xing went to Bangkok, Thailand on January 3. He was reportedly chosen by a Thai production team to participate in the filming of a movie.

However, Wang Xing lost contact later that same day in Mae Sot, a city in northwestern Thailand on the border with Myanmar. Mae Sot is separated from Myanmar’s Myawaddy by a single river and is known for frequent fraud and criminal activity.

The actor’s disappearance became widely known after his girlfriend made an urgent plea for help on social media. Thai police launched an investigation and found Wang Xing in Myanmar on January 6.

Wang Xing has appeared in works such as the film “Ip Man 3” and the dramas “You Are My Glory”, “Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact” and “The Tale of Rose”.
