EXO’s Baekhyun Apologizes for Smoking at Home, ‘Didn’t Know It Was Banned’

On September 16, Baekhyun’s agency, INB100, released an apology after the male idol was criticized for smoking inside a restaurant.

Previously, a video of Baekhyun smoking in a place that looks like a restaurant had spread online. In the video, Baekhyun is seen sitting in a corner, chatting with staff members and smoking.

Below is the full official statement from Baekhyun’s agency:

“Hi, I’m INB100.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who was made uncomfortable by the recent indoor smoking incident involving our artist Baekhyun that has been circulating online.

At the time, Baekhyun and our staff were unaware that e-cigarettes were banned in Macau. During a meal with the staff after the performance in Macau, Baekhyun unconsciously used an e-cigarette as the conversation deepened.

Baekhyun sincerely apologizes for disappointing many fans with his reckless actions and deeply regrets this incident.

We promise that in the future we will pay more attention to prevent similar incidents from happening again and we will not disappoint the fans with similar situations.

In the future we will also try to show a more mature side of Baekhyun.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for causing concern and inconvenience to many people. We are truly sorry.”
