THE Korean Big Music Awards 2024 took place on November 16 and 17, honoring the achievements of numerous artists this year. Many of the top stars took home prizes over the two nights.

Here are all the winners of the second day of the 2024 “Korean Grand Music Awards”.

During the first day of the awards show, EXO’s DO was present and performed “Small Girl”. Lee Youngji.

However, some expressed mixed emotions about the top prize they were announced to win.

In a now-viral tweet announcing his win, many were confused as to how he qualified for the “Best R&B” category.

This confusion is likely related to DO’s previous musical releases, as the talented idol’s music consisted of several ballads and songs that many believed did not fall into the R&B category.

While DO’s music varies in genre, with some songs that could be considered R&B, there appears to be an explanation for this unexpected award.

For many of the awards show’s categories, fan voting was included as part of the formula for deciding the award winner. DO heavily led the voting for this category throughout the voting process.

However, during the voting process, it was announced that the category known as “Best Ballad” would be changed to “Best R&B”.

So while this might explain some of the confusion over his win, many have joked that this could manifest an entire R&B album from the idol.
