Former APRIL‘S Lee Naeun recently found himself at the center of a controversy after an appearance on Kwak Tube’s YouTube channel. Kwak tube is a popular South Korean YouTuber with over 2 million subscribers. His video with Naeun became controversial after their conversation went viral. In the conversation, Kwak Tube shared that he had blocked Naeun after her bullying controversy came to light, as he had also been bullied at school. He later read an article denying it and unblocked her, even apologizing to her. Many netizens felt that he was in no position to forgive Naeun on behalf of the victim, namely, former member Lee Hyunjoo.

APRIL has been accused of gang-bullying Lee Hyunjoo. Through an explosive accusatory post from her brother, the girls were accused of ostracizing the former member. Hyunjoo herself later spoke out, leading the APRIL members to file a defamation lawsuit against her. The cases were dismissed by the prosecution as it was not recognized as defamation. In the revealed court jurisdiction documents, it was also revealed that Lee Naeun had acknowledged some of the accusations such as putting Cheon Guk Jang’s fermented paste in Lee Hyunjoo’s personal cup and using his sneakers.
