On December 18, Belift Lab released a statement about taking legal action against ongoing privacy violations regarding their artist, ENHYPEN.
In particular, the Agency specified: “Serious privacy violations against our artist continue to occur, including stalking and illegal photography. Furthermore, there have been repeated cases of malicious fabrication and dissemination of false information, as well as defamatory content aimed at discrediting our artist.”
The agency also stressed that these acts constitute criminal behavior and wrote: “The maliciously spread false information quickly circulated through online communities and social media, causing serious damage to the artist’s reputation. In response, we implemented real-time monitoring systems and received valuable feedback from fans. Based on this, we have filed formal complaints and taken immediate legal action against the perpetrators of these privacy violations and spread of false information.”
They also warned: “We have gathered evidence of malicious posts and comments that support and reproduce such rumors and have filed complaints with investigating authorities. Additional malicious posts and comments will continue to be collected for further legal action.
Finally, Belift Lab confirmed its ongoing legal efforts to address defamation, slurs, sexual harassment, false rumors and harmful content targeting ENHYPEN. The agency identified malicious posts and comments on various domestic and international platforms, including Ilgan Best, theqoo, DC Inside, Nate Pann, Instiz, FM Korea, Naver, Daum and others, included in their legal documents.
The agency reiterated that there will be no settlements or leniency and encouraged active reporting from fans.
Previously, Jungwon was involved in a dating rumor involving Aespa’s Winter, but both parties denied the claims, saying they were unfounded.
At the time, agencies Winter and Jungwon, SM and Belift Lab clarified: “The person who disseminated the photo initially contacted a news outlet with the intent of financial gain. When the media refused to facilitate this due to their policy against monetary incentives, the individual maliciously spread the photo. Legal action is pending against this individual.”
They also firmly stated that the dating rumors are false.
