On March 31, Dok2 shared a screenshot to his Instagram story with the caption “Something similar from my old Twitter,” revealing posts he had made years ago on Twitter (now X).
According to the posts, Dok2 had expressed his admiration for Lee Hi as early as 2012. He had written messages such as “Lee Hi is the best”, “Lee Hi is awesome” and “Lee Hi No.1 is the best”, demonstrating his affection as a longtime fanboy.
The resurfaced posts quickly gained attention, especially after Dok2 and Lee Hi recently confirmed their romantic relationship. On March 28, following dating rumors, the couple officially acknowledged that they were together. They also announced the release of their first single “You & Me” under their jointly founded label, 808 HI RECORDINGS.
Interestingly, Dok2 and Lee Hi first crossed paths in 2016 during the variety show Endless challenge. At the time, Lee Hi collaborated with Yoo Jae Suk and Dok2 on the song “Hommage” as a featured artist. Since then, the two have maintained a musical bond that has now blossomed into a romantic relationship.
