On September 20, Soosoo Company, EXO’s Doh Kyung Soo (DO)The agency released an official statement saying that they would take strong legal action against individuals who post malicious posts about their artist.
The agency also emphasized its zero-tolerance stance against defamation, slander and the spread of false information, and stressed its commitment to protecting DO’s rights and mental well-being. They further stated that they would pursue legal consequences against those responsible, without any leniency.
“Through real-time monitoring and reporting, we have confirmed that malicious posts containing insults and defamation towards our artist are continuously being published online.“, the statement reads. “Therefore, we are mass-collecting evidence and related materials and have decided that we can no longer ignore the gravity of the situation resulting from these malicious posts.”
“Accordingly, we will do our best to collect evidence of malicious posts and actively monitor [the situation] to protect the rights of our artists“, he added.
This is not the first time that Company Soosoo has taken such action. In November 2023, the agency made a similar announcement, confirming that it was already involved in legal proceedings against those who spread malicious rumors or made defamatory comments about DO and other artists under their management.
Soosoo reiterated its commitment to monitoring online platforms for harmful content, ensuring that its artists can work in a healthy and supportive environment.
