On February 9, the average of the media of Taiwan Liberty Times reported that the local lawyer Chen Yuan expressed surprise for Koo Jun-Yup’s decision to renounce the inheritance in favor of his mother-in-law. Chen doubted which legal consultant had recommended this action.
According to the report, Chen Yuan wrote on Facebook, “Please reconsider. If Koo Jun-Yup renounces his inheritance, his part of the estate will be transferred to the two children of Barbie Hsu. This, in turn, could open the door to ex -husband Wang Xiaofi and his mother Zhang Lan to intervene. In other words, the inheritance would not have gone directly to Barbie Hsu’s mother. ”
Chen also warned that if Koo Jun-Yup really wanted his part to go to his mother-in-law, he should first accept the inheritance and then transfer it through other legal means, rather than renounced it formally.
Another legal expert has plundered the matter. In particular, media outlets and today reported the same day when the lawyer on Jia-Hong discussed on YouTube the possibility that Koo Jun-Yup adopts the two children of Barbie Hsu. If Koo should adopt them, Wang Xiaofei would no longer have any legal claim for the inheritance. However, he said that such a move would be almost impossible.
