The fact that Jungkook only mentioned Bruno Mars and not Rosé has led to various malicious interpretations, with some accusing the male idol of discrediting Rosé. However, many defended Jungkook, making it clear that the male idol’s statement was severely misunderstood. In fact, Jungkook’s comment only showed that he found Bruno Mars’ vocal range too high for him, so he was too afraid to try singing the song.

Some BLACKPINK fans even agreed that Jungkook not mentioning Rosé is better, leaving comments like: “He knows his sasaengs as fans and what would have happened if he mentioned Rosé.”
