October 11, 2024 was announced RIIZE‘S Seunghan they would join in group activities. This comes after a hiatus of just under a year. It was announced that he would be taking a break from promotions in November 2023.
The news came as a big surprise to many who did not expect him to be reinstated after so long. Amid the mixed reactions the news has sparked, an article published by MNH Sports Korea raised eyebrows on October 12. The article was titled “All the members disagreed…did they have anything to do with RIIZE Seunghan’s return?“
The article stated that SM Entertainment had claimed that the RIIZE members had not approved Seunghan’s return, claiming that they would instead withdraw him from the group. Not even 6 hours later, SM Entertainment suddenly released an official announcement that Seunghan would be returning.
On October 11, an article containing a statement from SM Entertainment that all RIIZE members had opposed Seunghan’s return, resulting in his comeback not proceeding and him instead withdrawing from the group. But 6 hours later, SM Entertainment’s Wizard Production, responsible for producing RIIZE, released an official statement that it would return in November.

Initially, even fans who were informed of the news were confused by the roller coaster. Since the initial articles were removed, it’s unclear whether there were miscommunications or whether SM Entertainment made any last-minute changes to their plans.
