Sunrise made its long-awaited return to television on the October 22 episodes of TVING’s hit reality show “Exchange 4.” The appearance marks his first broadcast since completing mandatory military service in July 2025.
During the episode, host Lee Yong Jin revealed that the producers had already attempted to invite Dawn to the show, to which the artist candidly responded, “At the time, I wasn’t in the right place to appear on a program like this.”
When asked if she would ever consider rekindling a relationship with an ex or starting something new, Dawn was simple:
“I’ve never contacted an ex. Even if he contacts me, I don’t respond. I don’t think I could ever get back together with someone I’ve already broken up with.”
As the panel discussed the emotional challenges faced by contestants on the show, Lee Yong Jin commented on how difficult it must be for a contestant to see her ex get close to another person. Colleague Yura admitted: “Honestly, I can’t even imagine what it would be like.”
Addressing Dawn, the MC asked, “Can you imagine what it would be like to see your ex with someone else?” Dawn laughed softly before admitting, “I think I can, actually. Yes… I think I can relate.”
Realizing the sensitivity of the topic, Lee Yong Jin quickly added: “Right… I’m sorry I asked,” drawing laughter from the panel.
Fans online couldn’t help but connect the moment to SunriseHyunA’s famous past relationship with HyunA, which lasted from 2016 to 2022. After their breakup, HyunA went public with her relationship with Yong Junhyung in January 2024, and the couple got married in October of the same year.
