BIGBANG’s Daesung caused concern among fans after he officially announced that his Asia tour, “WAVE ENCORE by D“, will come to a conclusion sooner than expected. The unexpected decision, revealed on January 17 (KST), was made due to ongoing health issues, particularly issues related to throat and vocal conditions.
On the same day, his agency D-Label released an official statement explaining the situation. The company expressed sincere gratitude to fans for their unwavering support throughout the “Asian Tour 2025: D’s WAVE ENCORE,” which was originally scheduled to continue in the first half of 2026. However, after careful consultation with medical professionals and placing Daesung’s vocal health as the top priority, the decision was made to end the tour after the Osaka concert at the end of this month.

D-Label stressed that this was not an easy choice, but a necessary one to ensure Daesung’s full recovery and to prevent long-term damage that could affect his career. The statement concluded with a heartfelt thank you to the fans who stood by Daesung during both the original tour and his encore performances.
Shortly after the announcement, Daesung personally addressed fans through his official fan page. He openly apologized, sharing that his voice hadn’t recovered as quickly as he’d hoped, which left him anxious and disappointed. “My voice is not improving as I expected, and this weighs on me every day,” he admitted candidly.

In addition to his apology, Daesung also reflected on the reality of an artist’s journey, noting that sometimes you need to accept painful breaks and difficult times in order to shine more brightly in the future. “Once again, I am truly sorry and, more than anything, I am deeply grateful to all of you,” he wrote, a message that quickly attracted empathy and support from fans.
Before deciding to end the tour early, Daesung successfully concluded his “D’s WAVE ENCORE – Seoul“, held from January 2 to 4 at TicketLink Live Arena. The shows were made even more memorable by the surprise appearance of fellow BIGBANG member Taeyang, sparking excitement and speculation about the group’s future activities.

During the event, hints were shared suggesting that BIGBANG might reunite for a special stage Coachella in April 2026, increasing anticipation despite the premature end to Daesung’s solo tour. While fans are disappointed by the early closure of the”WAVE ENCORE by D”, the signs of hope regarding Daesung’s recovery and the potential activities of the entire BIGBANG group continue to fuel optimism and anticipation among fans around the world.
