In episode 10, released on December 30, 2025, the series narrowed down to the top seven contestants, including Yoon Joomo, Lim Sung-geun, Hoodeokjuk, Jung Ho-young, Seonjae Sunim, and Choi Kang-rok. Tensions peaked when viewers were left with a cliffhanger, with only the final outcome between White Spoon’s Chef Son Jong-won and Black Spoon’s “Culinary Monster” yet to be revealed.
But fans weren’t left in doubt for long.
A “big spoiler” surfaced in online communities shortly thereafter, claiming that Culinary Monster had advanced to the finals, based on an astute observation from episode 9. In a seemingly small but crucial detail, the name tag on Culinary Monster’s outfit would show his real name, not his alias. This immediately sparked fan theories, especially since a similar revelation happened in the first season with “Napoli Mafia”, whose real name only appeared after reaching the final.
“Is this a production oversight or an intentional leak?” one user asked, while others speculated that it could be a marketing ploy to drum up interest ahead of the finale. “It seems like Netflix is trying to manipulate the hype,” wrote another. Some have defended the series, saying this could be a red herring designed to mislead viewers.
However, the damage may already be done. Many fans have expressed disappointment at what they see as an avoidable mistake, with accusations of carelessness leveled at the show’s production team.
Netflix has yet to release an official statement regarding the controversy.
As the anticipation grows, Culinary Class Wars Season 2 will air episodes 11 and 12 on January 6, 2026, with the final showdown scheduled for January 13. Whether the leak turns out to be true or not, one thing is clear: the ending just got a lot more heated.
“They should have blurred the name tag if it was that revealing. Rookie mistake or brilliant strategy?” commented one fan, summarizing the divided opinions among the public.
