THE Mnet Asian Music Awards 2024 (MAMA) will take place in USA AND Japan ON November 21st al Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and beyond November 22-23 al Kyocera Dome in Osaka. The expansion into the US has sparked curiosity about how the awards will be organised.

Recently, MAMA announced its nominations for this year. The focus is on new generation groups and the best solo artists. Key categories such as Best Male/Female Group AND Best Solo Artist feature well-known names, making the electoral competition between fandoms even more intense.
SEVENTEEN AND aespa lead the nominations, with SEVENTEEN expected to win Album of the Year For “The Seventeenth Heaven”, which oversold 5.7 million copies. aespa is a strong contender for Song of the year with their shot “Supernova.”
Jungkook and his debut album “GOLDEN” they are also highly anticipated, as fans are aiming for them to win major awards.
Battle between beginners
In the Best New Artist category, three female groups—YOU, MONSTER CHILDAND MEOVV– they are in strong competition. ILLIT currently holds the record for successful debut, while BABYMONSTER has strong fan support.

MAMA aims to regain its popularity after recent years of decline. In 2023, it was labeled a “flop” due to low excitement. This year, with an impressive lineup and nominations, MAMA is determined to bounce back.
