Cortis’ Juhoon Fans Send Protest Truck To HYBE, Demanding Fair Treatment For Idol

Fans of Kim Juhoon, a member of the debuting K-pop boy group Cortis, took public action against HYBE, sending a protest truck to the company’s headquarters. The demonstration was organized to denounce what fans describe as unfair and discriminatory treatment towards the idol.

The protest follows a series of incidents, including Juhoon’s limited screen time and the cutting of solo parts during major public appearances. Al Asian Artist Awards 2025 (AAA)Juhoon’s solo performance segment was reportedly removed and he was only given two seconds during two separate award acceptance speeches. Fans also noticed that he was the only Cortis member who didn’t receive a solo focus during the red carpet segment.

Continued frustration with unequal treatment

This is not the first time concerns have been raised about Juhoon’s treatment. Fans claim that the singer consistently receives fewer singing lines, less promotional attention and is often left out of the group’s content. According to the protest messages displayed on the LED truck, the issue goes beyond media exposure and reflects a broader lack of support from the agency.

Furthermore, fans have expressed concern about the dynamics within the group itself, claiming that the other members of Cortis appear distant towards Juhoon, while part of the fandom has labeled him as a “replacement” OR “not necessary” member.

Key fan requests

The protest truck outlined the following demands:

  • Equal distribution of screen time and performance parts for Kim Juhoon.
  • End cutting of solo segments in future performances and public appearances.
  • A clear commitment from HYBE to ensure fair and respectful treatment of all members.

“Juhoon has been repeatedly sidelined in performances and promotions, with the company ignoring fans’ ongoing concerns,” the protest statement read. “We, as fans of Kim Juhoon, ask only for fairness.”

At this time, HYBE has not released an official response to the protest.
