In Whiplashaespa exudes confidence, with one phrase in particular catching fans’ attention: “Cats will copy one idea, two, then the entire look, then deny it.Some listeners took this as a possible dig at those imitating their success, further fueling the shady rumors aimed at HYBE.

Some listeners interpreted parts of the song as a direct jab at HYBE and its founder, Bang Si Hyuk. Speculation comes after the first I LOVE IT CEO Min Hee Jin previously mentioned Bang Si Hyuk asked her to “squash” Aespa during a press conference earlier this year.
