In the interview, he touched on BIGBANG’s impact on the global rise of K-Pop.
Luckily, we were able to open doors to global markets for many K-Pop bands who came after us. And they can perform on world stages. I wouldn’t say we presented it, but it’s great that our efforts played a role in that.

I’m grateful. And in some parts, when BIGBANG was active in the music scene, we also worked really hard to reach that point. Now, when I look back, with our efforts and achievements, fortunately, we were able to open the doors to global markets for many K-Pop bands who came after us, and can perform on world stages. I wouldn’t say we presented it, but it’s nice to see that our efforts played a role in that. On the other hand, I believe we were able to receive the level of love that we received, thanks to the many senior artists who worked hard before us, the senior singers who work really hard for the K-Pop scene even before was widely recognized, they are the ones who made things possible for us.
