FNC Entertainment has released an update regarding CNBLUE leader Jung Yong Hwa’s health status and future plans.

The agency uploaded an official statement on the fan platform Weversewho announced updates on Jung’s condition. FNC first expressed gratitude to the devoted fans of CNBLUE, also known as BOICE.

The label continues, revealing that it has been confirmed that Jung will undergo knee surgery after experiencing discomfort, which also led to a hospital visit.

In the results, Jung was diagnosed with a meniscus tear in his right knee, requiring surgery to follow the advice of medical professionals.

“Jung Yong Hwa recently felt discomfort in his knee and went to hospital for a thorough examination and was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee,” the agency said.

“After that, in the opinion of the medical staff, we will proceed today with the ‘tear meniscus suture surgery’.”

Jung’s program was taken into consideration by the company during his recovery. The agency shared that after discussing adjustments with Jung, the CNBLUE frontman will reduce his activities to adhere to the medical team’s professional recommendations.

“We have decided to proceed with the planned program with reasonable precautions according to the recommendations of the medical staff,” FNC continued.

Additionally, Jung’s label apologized to his fans for the sudden updates and assured them that he would receive the company’s support in his recovery.
