The announcement, accompanied by a teaser released at midnight KST on December 27, got fans excited. This marks the group’s return almost a year after their single “0 or 1” and theirs first album since the switch to a four-member lineup.
The return has a special meaning for both the group and their fans, as it comes after the departure of Bae Jin Young in August 2024. After his departure, Jinyoung embarked on a new chapter in his career, signing an exclusive contract with AURA Entertainment on December 5th. The agency expressed its enthusiasm for the partnership, promising to support the former Wanna One and CIX member as he explores new opportunities as a multi-talented artist.
Jinyoung initially rose to fame in 2017 as part of a highly successful project group I want oneformed during the second season of the survival show “Produce 101.” His time with Wanna One solidified his status as an exceptional artist, thanks to his rich vocals, mesmerizing dance moves and undeniable stage presence. After Wanna One disbanded, Jinyoung joined CIX, where he further honed his artistry and contributed to the group’s rise with hits such as “Movie Star” AND “Jungle.”
Beyond music, Jinyoung has shown his versatility by dedicating himself to acting, earning praise for his roles in films and web dramas. His departure from CIX marks a bittersweet moment for fans, but it also signals a promising future as he embarks on new creative endeavors.
