Despite her efforts to avoid the powerful male protagonist, Nan Heng, she was repeatedly drawn towards him by the narrative design. The playful chemistry between Liu Yuning and Li Yitong, combined with sharp dialogue and meta-commentary, turned what seemed like a disaster into a viral success.
