On February 15, Cha Joo-young shared several photos and videos on her social media account with the caption “5 years ago”, looking back at a difficult period in his life.
The footage showed alarming scenes. In one clip, blood from his nose soaked the asphalt ground. Another video, with caption “More than an hour…”, he captured continuous bleeding flowing into a sink, highlighting the severity of his condition. She also posted a photo of herself receiving IV treatment at a hospital. The revelation left many fans shocked and concerned, as the extent of the bleeding appeared much more serious than previously known.
Last month, on January 25, Cha Joo-young’s agency, Ghost Studio, announced that the actress would temporarily suspend operations due to health reasons.
At the time, the agency stated: “Cha Joo-young underwent extensive testing and treatment for long-term recurrent epistaxis (nosebleeds). Following medical advice, she decided to proceed with an ENT procedure that could no longer be postponed.”
They further explained that she is currently in the recovery and monitoring phase after surgery, which makes it difficult for her to participate in official programs, including promotional activities, during the recovery period.
