On August 31, KST, the official social media accounts of Samsung Electronics Paraguay posted several images of Suga in an advertisement for Samsung’s “Freestyle 2nd Gen” projector.

These announcements come at a significant time, as many have questioned whether Samsung would retract its association with the BTS member in particular. This speculation stemmed from several Samsung accounts removing images of Suga from their accounts in mid-August, when the rapper’s drunk driving incident became public.
At that time, Samsung Electronics Germany temporarily removed advertising photos of Suga promoting the Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone on August 24, sparking speculation about his future with the brand. Samsung Germany also removed photos of Suga from a social media post shortly after publishing it on August 15. Fans subsequently called for a boycott of the brand.

On August 28, KST, Herald of Korea A Samsung insider source has reportedly revealed that the brand may decide to change its spokesperson, but will not take steps to immediately exclude Suga from its campaigns.

While Suga is still under investigation, Samsung Paraguay’s post indicates that conflicts regarding his modeling activities for Samsung have been resolved.
