Jungkook made headlines when news broke that his home, purchased in December 2020, has become a valuable investment as its value soared in September, worth more than $7.5 million after renovations in less than four years.
The singer decided to demolish the existing structure of the house and, with a building permit from the district office in 2021, built a completely new house with a total area of approximately 12,500 square feet.
“The area where this house is located is home to some of the most prominent figures in the business world. Looking at the houses along the street, you will see that they are quite substantial,” said Park Yong Hoon, head of An Real Estate Agency.
“In 2022, properties in this area were sold for about 70 million won (about $52,700) per 3.3 square meters, which means prices have more than doubled since then.”
Jungkook’s house is located just a ten-minute walk from Seoul Itaewon Station and Noksapyeong Station. The singer’s neighborhood is infamous as one of South Korea’s original affluent neighborhoods, often referred to as the “Korean Beverly Hills”.
