BTS’s Jin speaks out against capitalism, urging fans not to buy too many albums

When our favorite K-Pop artist returns, we are often tempted to buy multiple albums, as companies release multiple versions of the same album. This can consist of variations of inclusions, from the concept in the photo book to different photo cards and more. Especially when it comes to your ultimate, it’s hard not to want to collect it all. However, the cost adds up, as albums can range from $25 to $50 USD on average.

In case of BTS‘S Jinhas just released his first solo album, Happy. There are three versions, in addition to the Weverse Album version. This doesn’t include the fact that different stores have different passport photo exclusives.

On the day of the release, Jin held a live broadcast of his comeback, unboxing his album.

Of course, with Jin, the unboxing was fun but messy.

Yet, his words left many ARMYs shocked and somewhat chastised. Jin told viewers they could buy all three versions of his album if they wanted, but joked “we’re not that rich” so it is not necessary.

ARMY joked that Jin “really knows his audience,” and he should know that most of us haven’t saved up for BTS’ reunion tour yet.
