Jonathan isn’t the best texter.
BTS‘S Jin has beef with a friend Jonathan… more or less.
Jin was recently a guest on the latest episode of KStarNextDoor4, hosted by Jonathan. Jonathan asked Jin about his famous friends and how the idol is known to only have a few close friends. Jin explains that people try to stay in touch with him, but he wishes they would.
Seokjin on not having many friends:

Jonathan: People wonder if they’ll see you again. I think the possibility is very low.
Jin: That’s the problem. People think it’s not easy to see me again, so they never call me. I wish they would.

This made Jonathan wonder if he and Jin could potentially be friends. So he invited Jin to his birthday next year.
Jonathan: Truly? Can I call you on my birthday?
Jin: February… I don’t have anything planned yet.
Jonathan: Works. I will be able to spend my birthday with you.
Jin: But if it’s crowded, I can’t come.
Jonathan: YES. I’ll gather my friends and let you know.
Jin then continued to tease Jonathan, reminding him that he had tried to befriend him before. It was Jonathan who couldn’t stay in touch, not Jin.
Seokjin said at the beginning of the show that he came because he was close to Jonathan. And it looks like they filmed on another occasion before as well?

Jin: The last time we filmed, I called you before and also gave you a gift after filming. But he never called me again after that.
Jonathan: What do you mean never?
Jin: You’ve never done it.
Jonathan: Wait.
Jin: Open your messenger.
Jonathan: My messenger?
This triggered a back and forth, which surprised even the show’s crew. Jin revealed that Jonathan hadn’t even responded to any recent messages.
We talked about some things. Then he ignored my message. From then until today’s shooting, he never sent, ‘Are you coming to KStarNextDoor4 today?’

The call clearly upset Jonathan and he apologized. Jin reassured him at first, but couldn’t help but continue to tease Jonathan when Jonathan said he was going to start texting Jin every day!
