RMwho has been an avowed Pharrell fan for years and even collaborated for an exclusive Rolling Stone interview, he also commented on the post, saying he can’t wait.
Next year, please come faster

Despite the enthusiasm of the two BTS members, the fandom had mixed reactions.
While Pharrell is best known for his music, some ARMYs are speculating that the collaboration is related to Louis VuittonPharrell is the artistic director of the men’s line, while J-Hope is a global brand ambassador.

Regardless of the type of collaboration, many ARMYs would like J-Hope not to associate with Pharrell Williams. This is due to Pharrell’s ties to Zionism.
Since October 2023, at least 41,020 Palestinians, including some 16,500 children, have been killed, according to Al-Jazeera. Over 94,925 people have been injured and over 10,000 remain missing in Israel’s war on Gaza, as Palestinians starve, are displaced and have lost their homes, families and friends.
However, many support Israel’s actions, arguing that they were justified by the Hamas attacks on October 7. According to Wikipedia, these attacks “killed 1,139 people, including 764 civilians and 373 Israeli security personnel. Another 251 people were taken hostage during the initial attack on Israel in the Gaza Strip.”
However, others believe that Hamas’s actions were also in retaliation for Israel’s long history of mistreatment of Palestine, as Israel is technically illegally occupying Palestinian land. According to a 2017 report Amnesty item, “Over the past 50 years, Israel has forced thousands of Palestinians off their land, illegally occupying and using it to create settlements that are home exclusively to Israeli Jewish settlers.”
Because of this ongoing war that many now agree is a genocide of Palestine, many ARMYs would like BTS members to have no ties to Zionism. This includes not collaborating with people who have sided with Israel.
I can’t wait for 2025, but I can’t wait to collaborate or start some project with that Zionist 🙁 @BTS_twt

Pharell Williams personally helped the Israeli army raise $60 million to displace and kill Palestinian children https://t.co/w9LejoQnJ7

Nah, we don’t want any Zionist collaboration, especially in 2025! Thank you and @BTS_twt please delete that collaboration! This constant association with Zionist brands and artists is not the best! I love you guys and that’s why I feel so disappointed in your actions! https://t.co/VzNcLvApw2

Pharrell Williams has not simply expressed Zionist beliefs like some artists. In 2018, Pharrell was a special musical guest at the annual FIDF Western Region Gala, celebrating Israel’s 70th anniversary. The celebrity-attended event reportedly raised $60 million for the Israeli military (also known as the Israel Defense Force or the Israeli Occupation Force) as part of a fundraiser. The Israeli military is responsible for many atrocities that netizens cannot ignore.
Pharrell Williams is not someone who has limited himself to expressing Zionist beliefs. @Pharrell raised 60 million US dollars for IOF in 2018 to kill Palestinians. SIXTY MILLION US DOLLARS for the army that kills, rapes, tortures Palestinians and is committing genocide and is blatantly aware of it.… photo.twitter.com/ok1MeIF5DF

Many ARMYs were disappointed to see J-Hope so willingly associating himself with Pharrell Williams, despite knowing what Pharrell stood for.
No, because imagine your favorite person and artist. Your comfort person collaborating with someone, a Zionist, who raised money to kill your people and your best friend, turning your life into hell. And depriving you of your most basic rights. Like I was so close to crying. I have never felt…

many of you need to grow up and start seeing the consequences of people’s actions because Pharrell Williams willingly helped raise millions for the IOF who is committing genocide. Did you see that kid whose head half exploded? He directly helped fund it. https://t.co/Yeh6mLlJGj

As a result, ARMYs continue to trend #HYBEDivestFromZionism and #SpeakYourselfBTS via X (formerly Twitter). Some have been trying to get BTS members to speak up for Palestine for nearly a year. The fandom has also urged BTS’s company, HYBE, to divest from Zionism due to Brown Scooterhis strong involvement.
Dear, j-hope @BTS_twt
Please consider deleting your photos with @Pharrell one of the “Friends of IOF” artists who earned $60 million to help 🇮🇱 kill Palestinians. All you said about 2025, I hope there is no involvement of uncles then.#TalkToYouBTS#HYBEDivestFromZionism photo.twitter.com/iDGuLGDaf7

Hey Hoseok, did you know Pharell Williams raised over $60 million for a war machine? Collaborating with him means supporting his crimes.
Please reconsider and delete the photos you have with him.@BTS_twt#TalkToYouBTS#HYBEDivestFromZionism photo.twitter.com/oMvaSVsKGj

While BTS members may not be able to get Braun removed from their company, they may choose who not to collaborate with. Thus, many ARMYs are urging J-Hope to reconsider his association with Pharrell Williams.
Pharrell is a financier of the IOF. Why would anyone associate with someone who loudly supports the soldiers of the terrorist occupation? @BTS_twt please educate yourself and take a stand against the occupying state and Zionist ideology as a whole. https://t.co/IWkgvQ5ZLm
