On September 3, a news agency reported that j-hope recently purchased a penthouse in a luxury apartment complex in Seoul for 12 billion KRW (about 9 million USD) in full cash. It was also revealed that a month later, he purchased an additional unit on the lower floor of the penthouse.
According to the report, j-hope signed the contract for the downstairs unit in June 2020 and completed the full payment in July, officially transferring ownership. The current market price for these apartments ranges from KRW 11 billion to KRW 12 billion (about USD 8.3 million to USD 9 million). Since j-hope did not take out a mortgage, it is estimated that he paid over KRW 20 billion (nearly USD 15 million) in cash to purchase the two apartments.
This is not the first time j-hope has invested in luxury real estate, as he previously purchased two other luxury apartments. With these purchases, j-hope now owns a total of four luxury residences, cementing his status as “young and rich”.
Meanwhile, j-hope enlisted in the army as an active duty soldier on April 18, 2023 and is expected to be discharged in October.
