BTS will appear on consecutive episodes of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on March 25 and 26, marking their first late-night television appearance in the United States as a full group since 2021.
NBC confirmed that RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook will join Fallon in the New York studio for an interview and two separate performances spread across the two nights.
The interview and first song will air on Wednesday, March 25, with a second song following the March 26 broadcast. “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” airs at 11:35pm ET/PT on NBC and becomes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
The booking coincides with the release of BTS’ new studio album “ARIRANG,” which is expected to arrive on March 20, according to reports. Soompi.
A global live special titled “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG” will stream on Netflix on March 21, followed by the documentary “BTS: THE RETURN” on March 27. The two-night late-night stint is timed to keep the group’s return visible on broadcast and streaming platforms during the same week.
BTS previously appeared together on “The Tonight Show” during a multi-night takeover in 2021, which featured hits like “Butter” and “Permission to Dance” and attracted significant viewership online, Money control reported.
In subsequent years, individual members have visited the show separately to promote solo releases and other projects. The upcoming episodes represent their first collective late-night appearance since completing their mandatory military service in South Korea.
Guests on the two shows will include Ariana DeBose on March 25, with Chris Pratt and Charlie Day scheduled for the March 26 episode along with BTS’ second performance.
The programs will be recorded before a live audience at Rockefeller Center’s Studio 6B, the regular home of Fallon’s late-night show. The appearance was announced via an NBC press release and amplified on “The Tonight Show” and Fallon’s official social media accounts, as well as on posts from BTS fan communities, as per Broadway World.
