According to Google Trends, V tops the list of K-pop stars with the highest search volume this year. Google Trends is a platform that analyzes the popularity of search queries across various regions and languages.
Of the 79 countries where Google Trends data is compiled, V ranked first in 71 countries, including major regions such as the US, UK and Japan, with only a few exceptions in parts of the Middle East and Central Asia.
Since BTS’ debut on June 13, 2013, V has consistently held the title of most Googled K-pop star. In previous years, including 2021 and 2022, she was also the most searched Asian celebrity on Google Trends.
Despite being inactive due to military service, V’s unprecedented popularity and star power continues to make headlines, as he remains the most searched for K-pop star globally in 2024.
In addition to dominating the K-pop category, V ranked 4th among the most searched male pop stars worldwide in 2024, behind global icons Drake, Eminem and Justin Bieber.
