On September 2 (local time), Megan Thee Stallion unveiled the first teaser for her collaboration with RM, which featured an illustration by the two artists, garnering considerable attention.
RM is featured on Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming single “Neva Play.” The two artists previously worked together on the remix version of BTS’ hit “Butter,” released in 2021.
Megan Thee Stallion, who has built a friendship with RM, shared her excitement “This is one of my favorite RM lines I’ve ever heard! I’ve never heard him rap in this style before“, raising expectations for the collaboration. Fans reacted enthusiastically, “Am I dreaming? This collaboration is happening”, “Let’s go” AND “I’m already excited, I can’t wait.“
“Neva Play” is scheduled for release on September 6.
RM is currently serving in the Army and his expected discharge date is June 10, 2025. He reportedly recorded “Neva Play” prior to his enlistment.
All BTS members, except the eldest member Jin, are currently serving their military duties. They are scheduled to return to the stage as a whole after June 2025.
However, member Suga recently made headlines when he was caught riding an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol during his alternative duty as a public service worker. Suga issued two apologies on fan communication platform Weverse, expressing his remorse for tarnishing BTS’s reputation and vowing to live with reflection and commitment to avoid repeating such mistakes.
