On November 30, K-Pop idols were honored for their achievements at the Melon Music Awards 2024 (MMA). During the ceremony, however, fans noticed that a historian was missing.
While BTS was not present at MMA this year (most of the members are still in the military), BTS’s achievements were still honored during the awards show. As a soloist, Jungkook took home awards for “Top 10 Artists”, “Best Solo (Male)” and “Millions Top 10 Artist”.

MMA they also played a VCR tribute to honor BTS’ legacy. Fans, however, pointed this out Suga was almost absent from the video. In the 50-second clip, Suga’s face is only shown once, in this very carefully cropped clip RM giving an acceptance speech to Mixed Martial Arts 2016.
Suga doesn’t appear in any wide shots of the group…
…and never speaks. MMA including at least one clip of all the other members talking while accepting an award. Some members like it Jin–have been included more than once, along with a couple of MMA presenters, as an actor Seo Joon Park.

The outraged ARMIES are shouting MMA for excluding Suga and tweeting trending phrases like “BTS ARE SEVEN” to show support. Some fans believe MMA ruled out Suga due to the star’s drunken driving case that made headlines earlier this year.

both mma and mom made “tribute clips” for bts and very conveniently left out the close ups of yoongi from them and used a lot of clips from ot6. this is an extremely intentional cause in the past when showing bts that this was never the case
